Many cosmetics companies sell powders they have made for the brows, but you can also any matte eyeshadow to get the same results. Chances are, you already have a suitable shade in your makeup bag. Choose a shade of powder that is one to two full shades lighter than your eyebrow hair. If you use a color that is the same as your hair color, it will darken in color when it touches the skin, making your brows appear much darker and unnatural. Using a lighter color ensures that it will land at the right color. You may want to experiment with several powders to find the one you like best. Don't worry if you feel as though it looks a little strange at first. This is quite common the first few times you fill in your eyebrows.
In addition to the eyebrow color, you will need an angle brush. Most cosmetic companies manufacture their own brushes and are easily found in major department stores. Investing in a quality brush will make the task easier, practically doing the work for you.
To apply the powder, simply dip your brush into the powder. Tap off the excess powder. Starting at the widest part of the brow, near the nose, and using short, feathery strokes, apply the powder directly to the existing hair of the eyebrow. Re-dip the brush as needed, and reapply to the tail end of the brow. Then, repeat on the other side. Remember, eyebrows are sisters, not twins, so don't be put off if they appear slightly different from one another. Simply use more powder where needed to make them as symmetrical as possible. If you feel that you've made a mistake, erase the mistake with a clean, dry cotton swab and begin again.
When finished, you may want to set the look with a clear brow gel or clear mascara. For longer brows, run a comb over the hair to keep everything in place.
