Look at those Smokey eyes

To really give you the smokey look, smudge eyeliner, or use the dark shawdow as liner, above and below...

Look at those Smokey eyes

Smokey eyes can be used at any time, just depends on your personal style. however, they are typically used in the evening for a reason. Try a little lighter right on your lids, dark in the crease and then fade, makes your eyes look more open. To really give you the smokey look, smudge eyeliner, or use the dark shawdow as liner, above and below the eye.

You can create the smoky eye effect using black, grays, browns and plums/purples. You can use just brown, or just plum or just black or you can blend a combination of all three if you like. Using black happens to look too harsh on me so I do it using chocolate browns and plums. But you should try experimenting with different colors and combinations, and you will get the hang of it.

Apply eyeliner. If you're going for a typical black, brown or gray smoky eye, apply liner in one of those colors above the upper lash line, drawing line thicker in the middle of eye. If your opting for a jewel-toned eye (violet makes a gorgeous smoky eye), line eyes with a purple, blue or deep green liner.

Try a neutral base all over top eye socket, then an olive green over the top extending just above the crease and just a little past the outer end of your eye. Then use a dusky brown blending into the olive on the outer corners of your eye. Then last dab a smokey grey on the inner corners of your eyes to open them up.
For night time, add a little brown eye liner.

Brush away any shadow that has fallen below the eye with a fluffy brush and clean up any areas that have smeared with a q-tip.

Blend in color on bottom lashes For color on the bottom (a key smokey eye look) you'll want a lighter eyeliner & the key is to 'smudge it'. You can also apply a bit of shadow to get full smudge effect.

Use a pencil eyeliner in charcoal (black would make your eyes look smaller) line the top and the bottom (right under lashes) bring it out just a tiny bit on the sides. Smudge the eyeliner with a q-tip or makeup sponge. Then, add a gray eyeshadow to make it soft.

Blend in darker color, but keep dark color below the crease. Now that you have the base & eyeliner on, it's time to get the smoky effect. You need a darker eyeshadow shade. Using an eyeshadow brush blend in color starting at your lash line & blending up. Make sure to blend color into the lash line so the eye liner disappears. Stop deep color at crease.

Smokey eyes look nice on everyone as long as its done nicely. Apply a dark eye pencil or eye shadow on the lower part of the upper lid near the lashes. Spread it evenly. Use either metallic grey or black with shimmer on top. apply a lighter colour in the middle of the eye and frosty white or silver under the brow line. Apply black liquid eye liner on the upper lash line and pencil liner on the lower lash line. Finish with mascara on both upper and lower lashes.

Want a more dramatic look add more Shadow and Mascara! If you are looking for the most dramatic effect be sure to curl those lashes and apply 2-3 coats of black mascara.

Eye Makeup: Your Eyes and Make-up

For eye make-up you require the following material:Make-up for Round Eyes ,Make-up for Small Eyes,Make-up for Wide-set Eyes ,Make-up for Close-set Eyes ....

Eye Makeup: Your Eyes and Make-up

Many people who have beautiful eyes are really lucky. But if you do not have that wish granted to you, don't worry and don't feel disheartened. You can ensure their beauty by following a few careful lines and strokes.

For eye make-up you require the following material:

Eye-brow Pencil - For giving shape to eyebrows.

Eye-liner - liquid used on the eye-lashes in a thin line.

Eye-shadow - used on eyelids between eyebrows and eyelashes.

Mascara - used to thicken eyelashes.

In eye make-up, the sequence followed is thus - eye-shadow, eye-liner and mascara.

You can see the difference the various eye make-ups can make to small, close-se wide-set, deep-set or round eyes.

Make-up for Round Eyes

Line the upper lid, starting from the inner corner and extend it out. Eye-shadow can be used on the lid and also on the inner side of the eyebrow. This will make your eyebrow look longer.

Make-up for Small Eyes

Make a line on the top of the eyelid as well as on the lower one and extend the meeting line fairly out to give the impression of more length to the eyes. This line should bend slightly upwards. Mascara can be used to give the eyes an illusion of length. Use eye-shadow only at lower portion of eyebrow, and not on the upper lid.

Make-up for Wide-set Eyes

To bring the eyes closer and look a bot small, start the upper lining from the inner corner of the eye, bringing it out near the nose ridge. The go back to the outer corner, without extending it too much. Use pencil on your eyebrows to get them closer to each other. Make sure, the perfect distance is equal to the width of your eyes. Use eye-shadow starting from the inner side of the upper lid and under the brow.

Make-up for Close-set Eyes

The perfect distance between the two eyes should be equal to the width of your eyes. To off-set this closeness for close set eyes, start drawing the upper line away from the inner corner of your eye, and going out and up. You can draw half of the lower line again, starting away from the inner corner. Using a tweezer and tweezing the eyebrows neatly ensures that eyes do not have a close-set appearance. Use eye-shadow on the outer half of the lid above the eye and under the brow.

Perfect Eye Care tips

Perfect Eye Care tips

I have something in my eyes!! We have all said this at lease once some time. We all know how uncomfortable it can become. Fortunately, many common eye disorders disappear without treatment or can be managed by self-treating. Various products from artificial tears and ointments to ocular decongestants are available over the counter. These products can help with dryness, itching, or excessive watering of the eye. However, a word of caution, in some instances, what may seem like a minor eye problem may lead to a severe, potentially blinding condition.
Several forms of eye inflammation are present in todays pollution filled world. However, frequent eye exams can identify inflammatory problems early and reduce the potential for serious eye complications.

Common eye problems includes the following:

Lice: The eyelids can become infested with one of two different lice, the crab louse (Phthirus pubis) or the head louse (Pediculus humanus capitis).

Contact dermatitis: Contact dermatitis is an inflammation of the skin that causes swelling, scaling, or redness of the eyelid with intense itching.

Dry eye: Dry eye is characterized by a white or mildly reddened eye combined with a sandy, gritty feeling.

Trauma: Blunt trauma to the eye requires immediate evaluation by an ophthalmologist or optometrist.

Chemical exposure: Exposure of the eye to household cleaning solutions, fumes, or an actual chemical splash requires immediate evaluation by a physician

Keratitis: Keratitis is an inflammation of the cornea that may occur alone or simultaneously with conjunctivitis.

Care for your eyes

After shower use a mild refreshing eyedrops to moisturise eyes from the drying effect of water. Then use a eye cream to moisturise and get rid of puffiness of the skin around eyes with a vitamin eyecream.

Wear you glasses or contacts as the doctor told you.

Eat healthy with plenty of fruits and veggies.

Use anti-reflecting glasses if you use the computer.

While you use contact lenses rinse your contacts every day with solution (10 seconds each) and check to see if they are in good shape. Also, make sure your hands are clean before taking out and putting contacts in.

Sit straight at your workstation and rub your palms against each other till you feel them warm. The warmth of your palms helps soothe and relax tired eyes. Then, lightly cup your eyes with your palms and relax for 60 seconds. Count the seconds in your mind. Repeat this exercise two to three times whenever your eyes feel tired, or as often as you want.

Keep two used tea bags in the refrigerator before you leave for work. Once you are home, place the tea bags on your eyes for a few minutes as you relax. This not only soothes tired eyes, but also reduces puffiness.

Add a small pinch of salt in water and wash for bright and sparkling eyes.

Mix tomato juice and lemon juice in equal quantity and apply around the eyes. After 30 minutes wash it off with cold and hot water alternatively.

Make a paste of sandal wood and nutmeg. Apply the paste around the eyes before sleeping and wash it off in the morning.

Crush a cucumber and take the juice. Add a little rose water and apply around the eyes and wash it after 30 minutes.
