To get Bianca’s exotic rock 'n roll 70's look, the first step is glowing, shimmery skin. Starting with clean, moisturized skin, cover any imperfections with concealer and foundation, but keep your skin looking as natural as possible. Next you’ll want to use a bronzer to give your skin a sun-kissed look. Gel and cream formulas look most natural, but powder is more versatile. Whatever you choose, get one with a bit of shimmer! The best way to choose the right colour of bronzer is to look for a shade with similar colours to your blush. If you’ve got fair skin, you’ll want a very light bronzer with a pinky-gold tone. If your skin is medium-toned or olive, look for a bronzer with apricot-gold tones and if your skin is medium-dark to dark, look for a deep rust-gold bronzer.
With your fingers or a large brush, apply the bronzer where the sun would naturally hit your face – forehead, nose, chin and tops of the cheekbones and make sure to blend it well! Start with a little and apply – you can always add more if you need to. If you’re using a gel or cream bronzer, you may mix it with a bit of liquid foundation or moisturizer to make it its application sheerer – this is especially useful if you’re very fair. On pale skin too much bronzer can look very muddy, very easily.
Now apply a pink-gold highlighter on your brow bone, and on the tops of your cheekbones – powder will work over any bronzer, but never use a cream over a powder; it'll get streaky. Blend.
Now for the eyes and lips… Bianca's were always bold and distinctive. You can give yourself cat eyes by lining them with a deep toned (black, burgundy, grey, brown, purple, green) eyeshadow or eyeliner (or both for a three-dimensional effect). As with everything else, starting with a small amount and building as needed is key in getting the desired effect. Smudge and smudge and smudge some more until you get those dark, smoky, sexy cat eyes. Using an eyeshadow brush, blend some of the product from the outside in, concentrating the colour at the outside corners and pulling the line up and out slightly. Smoke the colour up into your crease and towards the nose. Curl your eyelashes and apply lots of black mascara.
And don't forget your eyebrows! Bianca's were always groomed perfectly. Fill in yours as you normally would, but make them stand out with a stronger line. Don’t go too dark, however; whatever suits your skin tone is best!
Finally, choose a bold lipstick in a wine tone – think reds and burgundies – and don't make it too perfect. Apply the product to the centre of your lips and smudge out with your finger.
